I was at the Kildare game when something similar happened where they should have won the game in normal time and didn't.

And they looked as if they were hanging on physically a little bit in the last few minutes of normal time.

And then they took off again.

But in extra time, their legs were incredible.

I mean, Mark McHugh has got so many things right, but one of the standout features has been their fitness.

As a Division 3 team, they have outlasted teams from Divisions 1 and Division 2.

we hope he lasts a little bit longer than his father up in, in Cavan, because from memory, I think Martin, Martin, uh, called time after that, uh, Ulster title in 97.

And, uh, it was a long, long time before Cavan won one again, right up until the COVID year.

But, but he, um, like he is, it's, it's a remarkable tale of progression the last, the last month, especially, but he's been at pains to point out in, um,

previous interviews and in the run-up to this final that Westmead's form picked up towards the end of the league, basically the last two league matches, and they did almost everything right against Wexford bar the last five minutes.

And your reference to the weather and that, it's kind of interesting that players like Brandon Kelly have flourished on the harder ground.
