When we saw you last, we were just rapping America.
And then we went to Canada, which is where the band's from, did all the NHL arenas, which was beautiful.
And then we got inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame and got to play the Juno Awards to end it, close the whole thing.
Just for me coming in the band later, and Derrick had just overcome almost dying, basically, and we started the band from nothing, started playing clubs, and within a decade, to surpass everything
hit wise, ticket sales.
And I was part of that and helped rebuild it.
It was the most triumphant way to end it.
But it also, like when I got to the Juno Awards, that's when it hit me like, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing next.
Like, what do I, you know, I've worked my whole life to get to this level.
And now that I got a taste of it, I'm not done.
The band's done, but I'm not done.
How hard is it going to be to get into a band?
And when I went to Australia with Sum 41, we had to cancel the whole run.
Derek had pneumonia right when we got there.
Literally, the band that took our spot to headline the festival is this band I've sent you, those crazy Germans, Electric Callboy.
So they took our spot headlining the festival, and on the day of the festival, their drummer had to leave.
So they were like, are you still here?
I was just there.
We did an early Christmas with my mom and my family, and it's, you know, I've been in California now for over 20 years, and, like, when I go back, I love seeing my family, but, like, I don't, nothing there makes me happy.
