And then that's kind of when I started to realize, what if there are other things at work?

What if there is the spiritual warfare, the brokenness of living on this side of heaven, sin, people's stories, people's trauma, all these things that we put on God, and he's like, I don't have anything to do with this.

And I'm not questioning the sovereignty of God, I'm just saying on this side of heaven, the devil is the prince of the power of the air, and

terrible things happen and god is not the one who is perpetrating that but he is the one who is bringing beauty from the ashes and bringing um and bringing joy from the pain and one day is making all things new and and even lauren's podcast lauren alanis was so inspiring because it was talking so much about heaven and that gives me so much hope of just like we just see such a short little picture here and one day we'll see it all and it will all make sense you know and and so that was so like

And in like the best gift we could receive on this side of heaven is just a deeper awareness of our need for God.

And like we talked about before the podcast started, like it's the deepest suffering and the deepest pain or warfare or loss or those things.

Like we're so avoidant of them.

At least I know I am like I'm an Enneagram seven.

And for those of you that know the Enneagram, that's the one that avoids pain.

And so it's hard for me, but I'm like, are you a seven?

You're seven.

Oh my gosh, that's awesome.

But man, like it's like running from it.

And I remember-

I grew up or I remember reading about Jesus on the cross was a book on the Enneagram and how each number like it was so Enneagram nerdy, whatever.

But anyway, I was talking about Jesus on the cross and when they handed him, I don't know if you might even know this from being seven yourself, but they handed him the sponge, you know, and he denied it on the cross.

And, um, I was kind of was interested in that.

Like, why wouldn't he want water?

He's dying, you know?

And what, what it basically was, was it fermented wine?
