So I went to the comics club and there were a bunch of people who were studying the illustration department.

in Syracuse, one of whom was Ryan Don Levy.

Oh, right.

Uh artist of the currently kickstarting action philosophers.

We can get to that later.

Uh other one was Steve Ellis.

And Steve was an artist who actually started getting work for Marvel in DC in undergrad.

That's how talented he was.

And so uh I enjoyed writing for them, I enjoyed the immediacy of working with them.

They they were not, you know, little did I know.

There was n I like the fact there was no technology involved, right?

It was just people doing things with ink and paper.

Uh and in my case word processing programs.

Um and uh and so we and after I I I made the concession to the aforementioned parrots who were not thrilled with the with the with you know with the financial stability of

of writing and such.

I did go I ended up getting a gra a graduate an English degree because I I left the film department and then I went for a year in Pittsburgh.

to um uh

uh study uh undergrad for English and but then like that fall, like halfway through my and I hated it, like I just hated it.

And I got terrible grades.

And if you get like B's in English graduate school, no one will hire you to do a teaching job.
