Weishaupt instructed the teachers of the Minervals to propose each year to their scholars some interesting questions to cause them to write themes calculated to spread impiety amongst the people, such as burlesques on the Psalms, Pasquinades on the prophets, and caricatures of personages of the Old Testament after the manner of Voltaire and his school.
It is surprising with what exactitude these Minervals follow out the instructions of Weishaupt to this day.
