But...
This squad has underachieved all season long.
I mean, if you want to be honest, if you want to keep it a bean, they've underachieved for the money that they're getting paid and for the output of this offense.
That's a fact.
The defense, for more bang for their buck, this is where the defense is a luxury, not a necessity, was born from.
For what you've paid those players on that defensive side of the ball, they've exceeded expectations.
That was where this whole thing was born from.
You are not paying your defensive guys and you're getting the most out of them.
This offense has underachieved from the beginning of the season all the way until now.
Now, to your point, I give them the props when you say, okay, yeah, they have played tough
with teams that are going to the playoffs.
But is that good enough?
Especially when you talk about the Super Bowl defending champions, when you talk about a lot of times, which we like to point out, our $50 million quarterback or our $30 million receivers or our $26 million running back, that is not good enough.
And that is not the standard that has been set for this football team.
The standard is what the standard is.
