But alongside that, those male allies I'm sure that you've had along the way through your career have been vital because those men, and they're often unheralded, I think.
And I always try and kind of name check and give those people credit because if they hadn't supported at the very beginning, then those doors wouldn't have been open.

Would you say that through your industrial journey and this career that you've had, it's never been about being a woman, per se?

You mean I haven't got where I've got because I'm a woman?
Yeah, it's never... You've never felt, oh, this is fortuitous that I'm here right now.
I started the chat talking about the visibility of women in their 50s on screen and how important that is.
the conversation around menopause has become so much louder over the last few years and and people understand the challenges that that brings and for a lot of women um it's it's brain fog and it's all those kinds of the mental kind of um challenges that that they face as well as the physical ones have you ever had those doubts about a name that you're about to say or a um people always ask me this question about being on air going yeah struggling yeah yeah
It's like carrying an umbrella around London on a sunny day.
