Well I think several things.
One of them is obvious that the symbolism of it is quite crucial.
The fact that the President Trump could come and not only attended the NATO summit, but he made it sure he uh he gave it in the press statement that he's coming because it's taking place in Turkey because he's been invited by President Erdogan.
And I think that message in itself was telling.
And the fact that President Erdogan himself went to receive him at the airport, whereas like all other
Leaders were received by the minister.
So, therefore, the unity, the family picture was very important for Turkey, that everyone was present.
Secondly, I think one novelty of this summit is that the Defense Industrial Forum has become the integral part of this summit for the first time.
And Turkey has quite an expanding defense industry.
And therefore, this defense industrial forum being part of the summit in itself is important for Turkey.
The thirdly is that
uh the cats sanction that Turkey uh was subject to as a result of its uh purchase of the Russia made S four hundred missile system has become a subject of discussion and dispute between Turkey and the US.
Absolutely.
And now the Trump uh promised that the Trump said that he will remove the sanctions.
And that means the restriction that Turkey is right now facing when it comes to access to the US uh not only F thirty five program, but more fighter jets program, but uh also the different uh defence industry equipment, the different sensitive technologies.
This is quite crucial uh for Turkey.
And the final point I think
The Turkey, the President Erdogan, wants this summit to be about the question of European security to be discussed much more clearly, but also not at the EU level with bringing closer dimension between the NATO's EU and non-EU European members.
So, in a sense, the Turkey has been advocating for a pan-regional uh approach to the question of European security.
