then when you are turning 18 and becoming voting age you get to be a voter and have a say in how our communities move forward in order to access all of michigan and really experience it and be the best version of yourself in michigan the secretary of state's office needs to see you respect you support you and enable you to get that experience and so that's why it is so important that this office opens its door wide to all michiganders that it welcomes them that it serves them
and that it positions them for the power they have as residents, as citizens, as voters, to be able to exercise their full rights without fear of persecution, without fear of intimidation from a president or a federal government that's trying to impose on them.

To make sure that we can protect and expand access to voting for all eligible citizens.
To make sure that we can protect the data and information that this department has, that the Trump administration has sued us and 20 plus other states to get their hands on.
and that the big tech companies want to use so that they can build data models based on our people's identity without their permission and feed it to products without their consent through data centers people don't want in their communities.
Like we can do something about that by protecting it in the Michigan Secretary of State's office.
And Andy, I'm the only software developer elected statewide in America.
I know how to protect information.
I know how to use technology to help and serve people.
And that's what I'll do as Secretary of State of Michigan.
