And so not having that untraditional general manager situation, you know, leads to what we saw with Micah Parsons, where Jerry kind of skirted around negotiating with David Mulligetta in those negotiations and sat Parsons down.

And once

Jones felt, okay, there's a handshake agreement here.

Micah said, hey, I want to go back and talk to Mulugeta.

Let's look over the fine print here, make sure everything's all good.

Jerry took umbrage to it because he wanted to obviously just negotiate with Micah because he has a leg up on negotiating with a player over a contract.

And then from there on out, it was a stalemate and he gets traded.

So,

I don't think many general managers would have gone through a contract negotiation with someone like Parsons, talked to the agent, and eventually dealt them in their prime like that.

So I would say that if you're the head coach in Dallas, very different experience than anywhere else, which maybe has equipped McCarthy to be better this time around in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, I think getting to know Schottenheimer the last three, four years in his OC capacity versus now this past year head coach capacity, they still have a heavy role in putting together the game plan, red zone packages, third downs.

So Mike likes getting his OCs involved in kind of those critical situational ways

game planning components like third down red zone and really getting a lot of feedback there.

Obviously when you watch during a game on a Mike McCarthy coach team, he's got his, you know, cheesecake factory style menu of plays.

That's ginormous.

And he's the one making those decisions, but the offensive coordinators that he's had in recent years do have impact in putting the game together.

So certainly working with the quarterbacks a lot and getting those plays lined up here.

I could see it's certainly very possible.
