almost every single time you see linda wells walk down the hallway there's at least one or two players who he's got his arm around them or they have their arm around him and they're deep in conversation about what just happened at practice getting feedback so he's somebody who definitely gets the buy-in of the players and is one of the assistants who i've just observing tangentially in small moments like that who seems to really

be comfortable getting in players ears and players have uh no issues listening to him and i asked him what how would you feel about you know working with mike mccarthy again and he said he loved uh that opportunity and said it would be a great opportunity and he found out he was gonna be a candidate for the job uh last saturday and uh he's gearing up for those interviews limits

Yeah, I, I think that's a fair question, Austin.

I think it's one of those things where.

it all comes down to a lot of times in the coaching business, the relationships and McCarthy's going to bring in a young up and coming guy.

I think it's worth, you know, making sure that he's got good recommendations from other people.

And I think even though Brian Schottenheimer was someone he knew for a long time, because Mike McCarthy's first job in the NFL was working for Brian's dad, Marty, Brian brought in a lot of different,

concepts whether it was like some more motion under center uh things like that so i think mike mccarthy has shown that he's open to uh different types of schematic feedback i think the case for wells is certainly players have shown uh and mccarthy's been able to observe work ethic uh

really enjoying working with him and being open to his feedback.

And so I think, and you could, Lunda's a little older, but

would kind of be an up-and-coming position for him to be his first chance at a coordinator job as well so i think you'd frame it both ways but i think the big takeaway is making sure that mike mccarthy's open to different schematic ideas and i think toward the end of his time in dallas they did start incorporating more motion more under center uh type of things to show maybe uh in his older age he's more receptive to feedback

Yeah, the Iowa quarterback was the offensive MVP of the Shrine Bull.

He had a nice performance managing the game, rushing touchdown.

He actually blocked and set up a rushing touchdown for Houston running back Dean Connors around the right side.

I don't know that this is the draft that...

is going to yield a ton of diamond in the rough guys like a Will Howard.

I mean, even Spencer Rattler a couple years ago was productive for New Orleans for a spell out of the fifth round.

I don't know that this is a very deep quarterback draft.

Now, you know, edge rusher, you're looking at Rieger out of Wisconsin.

He was the defensive games MVP.
