Federal prosecutors say 31-year-old Timothy Holmes replied to an ex-posting by the Israeli government with the threat to shoot up a synagogue.

They say an investigation revealed additional threatening communications from Holmes' account, including comments about Jews.

The federal complaint also alleges he doxed an Israeli government official.

Over the government's objection, a federal judge ordered Holmes released on bond.

40-year-old Rafael Enrique Gomez Salas, known as El Turco, nabbed in Los Angeles on kidnapping and murder charges at the behest of the Chilean government.

El Turco is thought to be the ringleader of the Chilean branch of TDA, which is based in Venezuela.

The Justice Department says he'll be extradited to Chile to stand trial.

A 58-year-old man and a 33-year-old man died in separate incidents at Heavenly Mountain Resort on the California-Nevada border.

Police say the older man suffered a medical emergency.

The younger man died from a skiing accident.

This following the deaths of multiple skiers in an avalanche at Castle Peak on Tuesday and two other separate deaths this week as well.

Both police and state regulators are looking into the possibility that criminal negligence was involved and whether the tour organizers are at fault.

The 11 backcountry skiers and four guides were traveling along a route that reportedly was at greater risk than longer exit paths.

The tour company, Blackbird Mountain Guides, says it's too soon to draw conclusions as investigations continue.
