I started listening to the book and three times a week I would go out to the track on Camp Dodge and it was a two mile like loop and I would run four loops, eight miles.
And in like,
Walmart shoes, you know, like I just, I, and I didn't, you know, in a hoodie and a sweat.
I had no clue what I was doing.
And I just would, and I would listen to his book and I'm, I'm not kidding.
I probably listened to that book since 2021.
I probably listened to that book 15 times.
Wow.
And to just remind myself, like,
who I can be because he did it, you know, not the stay hard, you know, no rest days.
Like, no, no, that's not me at all.
It's just like, if, if this guy can do it, why can I not do it?
And that's what I'm trying to preach to my audience.
Like even, even, and I, I didn't start running until I didn't start actually running full time, like running 30, 40 miles a week until I,
April of 2021.
Wow.
And now we're here.
No, Texas was 2024 and 2025.
I'd done it twice.
For me, I think the reason I fell into the love of running is because it was the only time in my life that I was able to control the pain that I was in.
