There's 20% Canadian.
And you can't help but bump into Americans.
And for the most part, we had very different political views.
But there were no blowouts.
And I'm going to attribute some of that to the folks that I was chatting with and some of that to myself, because we all retained our composure and remained reasonable.
And if we realized we were truly on those opposite sides of the divide...
we backed off from the discussion.
And with some of those folks, we just didn't engage anymore.
Walk away.
They're what we call transferable skills.
If this works in dealing with people here, maybe it works with dealing with people there.
And those strategies typically do apply.
So I know there was this one occasion when the person figured out my left-leaning ways.
They literally turned in their seat so that they couldn't see me.
I was snubbed.
That's the way to really put it.
And anyone else could have taken offense.
I just said, okay, I've only learned where you're coming from.
And again, I'm not going to poke that bear.
And so this is what you have to do when you're traveling.
