I was very, very close to going.

My second season at Barcelona, Terry Venables lost his job, and halfway through the season, um we uh Luis Aragones came in, uh, who latterly won obviously the Euros with Spain as the coach, and I loved him.

But Inter Milan got in touch, inter and it they they were at that stage where they were about to be very powerful.

And I met Trappetoni, I think it was in Frankfurt.

We met.

Amazing.

And he gave me, he gave me a team shirt and he gave me some badges.

So inter badges and all this.

And he said, We really want to make this happen.

But in the end, Barcelona wouldn't sell me at that point.

Yeah.

Um, so what they did, they'd already got obviously they got uh Mateus and Brahmer, they had a German, and then instead of me, they went and got Klinsman and they won, they won everything almost.

Yeah.

And it was like a little bit because

Because obviously by that stage of Barcelona, it wasn't going quite so well.

Yeah.

Although I had a decent season that year.

But yeah, and then I I thought I was gonna go after Barcelona, I thought I was gonna go to Fiorentina.
