What is the biggest time wasting issue in our game today?

V-A-R.

It delays everything.

It delays celebrations.

It delays goals.

Every corner kick, we have to wait for them to look at it.

Every free kick now, you have to pace 10 yards and then they look at it and it's delaying the game.

And then they say, oh no, we've done this thing that's really good because goalkeepers can only have it in their hands for six seconds or something.

And you're thinking...

No, you can speed the game up by allowing quick free kicks, for example, which you're not allowed to do anymore.

It's honestly, the lack of self-awareness from these people is beyond.

Well, they do celebrate, but you can't be absolutely sure with your celebration.

I mean, that is the joy of football as well, by the way.

That's what lifts football for me.

And I'm biased because it's a sport that I love.

It lifts it over other sports because a goal is so important in a game of football.

That blast of joy that you get from a goal is what makes football really, really special for supporters and players alike.
