I actually saw a piece years ago about a young kid who was blind and developed echolocation as a means of moving around by using clicks in his mouth and being able to what we would call see the room, uh, but of course not in the sense that we consider psych.

So the cortices are always in competition and when we go to sleep, it is is the competition that fierce that this area of the brain says, Hey, I you know, it's like when you work in radio, you can't go on vacation because when you come back you don't have a job.

Because for instance, I wake up normally at first light, and I didn't realize why for the longest time.

But then I bought a blackout mask.

And so when I wake up, the first thing I do, I'm wake, right?

Like my body's like, it's time to get up.

And I put on the blackout mask, I go.

Back to sleep with no problem.

And as a matter of fact, that's when I have to set an alarm because I will sleep much longer than I would like because it's just black.
