and there was not a a collection of people on the other side arguing on behalf negotiating on behalf of student athletes broadly saying we think that number should be higher saying we don't think that that number is accurate we don't think that's right we don't think that's fair just because somebody speaks at a press conference doesn't mean they have a voice in the in the matter and um again um voice-verified

I know there's a retention fund there and I know the, the, some schools aren't even going to try to spend this much money that they are allowed, but that doesn't change this fact. voice-verified

A school can pay a coach, athletic director, whatever it wants, but cannot by definition. voice-verified

when this bill passes, if it passes, pay players whatever it wants. voice-verified

And that decision was made by a bunch of non-players who are more or less just trying to limit what they have to give the players who, let's be honest, are mostly young black men. voice-verified
