Did anyone ever β like did you ever have a problem with that?
No.
Not me.
But I was actually β I know what you're talking about.
Like during the Iraq War, you know, everything β you know, we were kind of a nation that came together after September 11th, right?
We were β
We wanted to do something about what had happened to us as a nation.
But as time went on and we went into Iraq after that and everything like that, things started to splinter again.
And Hollywood got very anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-Iraq stuff.
I didn't feel that way.
And I'll tell you why.
Because, as I said, I've got Vietnam veterans in my family.
I could sense that, hey, what's happening right now in the country is very similar to what was happening to our Vietnam veterans.
The media and folks are turning against the war.
The soldiers, the Marines, the people that are serving, they're gonna get caught in the middle of all that.
And I don't want that to happen.
So I just started to go on tours and go overseas and go to the war zones and go to the hospitals and support organizations that were helping our service members.
And the more I sensed all that stuff coming,
It just motivated me to do a lot more.
Did that affect me in the movie and television business?
