So remember that talks about an economy that's expanding at a solid pace despite the elevated uncertainty, productivity and capital investment are strong.
Strong job gains have kept pace with the with the workforce, unemployment rates unchanged, it's all good.
Talked about impressive resilience in the economy in the press conference.
And then he talked about uh he talked a very tough game in terms of wanting to own the issue.
Uh, you know, he wouldn't be drawn on specifics of what sort of parts of inflation he's looking at, whether it's core PC and the others.
To talk about this in broad terms, the broadest measures that he can.
Um, all there were a lot of hard questions from the uh from the gathering press about, you know, uh well, when are you going to pull the trigger?
Mm.
What are you gonna do?
You know, you've missing the target for five years.
Uh, when are you gonna do something?
Um, you know, he talked about the idea that actually the good thing for him is is that uh markets are starting to listen to, they're reacting to the
data that's out there, they're starting to play the ball rather than the referee.
And he sort of joked that part of that might be because of the lack of guidance, you know, that kind of stuff.
Yeah.
So he's he's he's happy that markets are now
Yeah, you know, rediscovering price discovery, right?
And uh the Fed is going to take its lead from that.
