I was still getting my three years.
Well, I knew it was going to be slim pickings.
I had talked to Med Hat, the top teams, quite a bit.
Yeah, I actually signed with Med Hat before the draft.
They came and saw me at a tournament.
So I knew I was going there before the draft.
Yeah, they had first pick.
they had like 11 wins the year previous but it was a young team and then when I came in I was 14 I think we got to like we made playoffs that year so yeah I remember my first I think shift it was preseason and I was playing against Lethbridge going up against a guy who was like 6'3 like 230 pounds and I got the puck on the wall opened up and he came right at me blew me up
Did the exact same thing.
I opened up again, blew me up again.
And then I had a guy chasing around the whole game.
But it was a welcome to the league.
Not that year, actually.
I think because I had my cage on, guys were like, they didn't want to like be known as a guy going after the young guy.
But the year after, there was a little bit more.
Our goalie, right before playoffs, lost his dad in the stands, which was like...
Our team was like, man, like it was tough.
He got to go home and see his family and stuff.
We had some guys go out with him and first game back in playoffs, he got a shutout.
