You know, unemployment's spiking really badly.
You've got something like a GFC on your hands.
And then the share market takes a massive dive.
So you don't there's not a clear correlation between rate cuts and share prices going through the roof.
In fact, in many cases, historically it's gone the other way.
The fact that we are expecting rates to stay higher for longer, and I know you talk to the guys about this all the time.
Is because we're assuming the economy will hold up relatively well.
So to that extent you would assume that earnings will hold up relatively well and that maybe we'll see contraction in the US.
The data historically doesn't give you a good read on how you should play.
Mm-hmm.
I think Australia is one of those economies.
I think everywhere is the same, but in particular Australia, you've got to look at the sectors, right?
Because banking and materials are quite different.
And that's fifty percent of your market.
And then you've got
Not rats and mice, but everybody else, right?
Everybody else, all the other things, the other, you know, 160 companies in the ASX 200, uh, you know, are in entirely different uh parts of the economy and parts of the market.
And some are heavily driven by offshore factors and some are not, some are very much domestic like financials.
So we think we've hit peak bank.
But we thought we hit peak bank twelve months ago.
