You need to get your brain to go, oh, yeah, I have a foot.
It can move.
And then once you've kind of brought those foundations, we then go, right, specifically, where is the area that is affected and what leaves it vulnerable and what are the main muscles that we need engaged?
Shall
stages, yeah.
So ideally, work the brain to body awareness and then range of motion, restore that as best as possible and then bring in balance.
So balance is really key with change of surfaces.
On the flat, with eyes closed, looking at different things.
And then you'd want to look at functional load through the foot once you've done all your basics.
So it might be what's happening when you're walking.
It might be rises.
It might be transferring from sit to stand and maintaining your foot control.
It might be walking the plank back and forwards.

And then past that, we look at high level ankle load, which would be your jumping, your hopping, your bounding, your landing, your sprinting, acceleration, deceleration and change of direction.
We want to
Now this will always depend on the level of your ability with your ankle and pain etc but just as a general one I'd always have the funky what we call intrinsic exercises in so can you space your toes out and can you work that big toe and can you actually like press it into the floor.
Then aside from that, I'd be saying balance training.
So standing on one leg.
