We touched on it with CeeLo last hour, but the most annoying thing to me about the Mets last night wasn't even the lack of offense, because I've already been annoyed by that.
I'm already used to that with this lack of offense.
It's the fact that this game breaks open.
One, because Nolan McClain comes out of the game when he shouldn't.
And two, you've got these two guys that the Mets have been waiting and waiting and waiting to finally fill their potential, and they're trying to get them going every single year.
And I love Mark Vientos, and I love his potential, and I love his star potential.
When his bat gets going, it changes the lineup and all that stuff.
But these guys don't have positions.
I mean, Brett Beatty out in right field doesn't work.
I mean, we talked about Juan Soto being a butcher in right field last year.
Compare, like, Brett Beatty's a legit butcher in right field.
I mean, he's out there with two meat cleavers.
And then, Vientos at first, I mean, how many examples do you have?
And another miserable throw last night to home plate in a critical moment.
It's just, I hate when a team that spends so much money on their roster has multiple guys playing out of position.
That should not be happening.
And I understand when you're David Stearns and you spend a lot of money on a guy like Bo Bichette and you spend a lot of money on Juan Soto and Lador and the pitching staff.
