The team is quite sizable.

So we have 70 people who work on product and corporate operations.

You know, we have a very significant engineering team that's working on a lot of different user experiences and operational product because a lot of what we do requires unique technology.

And then we have people in each of the markets.

So we have people in San Francisco, LA, and DC.

And that's roughly, you know, 200 people.

Um, so I actually was at Google, um, before that.

Uh, so after Taxi Magic, um, uh, when, uh, we, you know, I, I, I still help start Taxi Magic and we grew a very, uh, larger business in some ways there as well.

Like we were booking, you know, 10% of all taxi rides in San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, um, a bunch of other cities.

And, you know, we really created that space.

Um, I am originally foreign.

I'm originally from Georgia, the country.

And so I applied for my green card or

taxi magic applied for my green card but the us government uh refused to grant me a green card and so i had to go to a bigger company to be able to get a green card so i left taxi magic in 2010 and joined google um had a really fantastic experience there um you know met amazing people learned a lot of awesome things um including a lot of people who are at shift um i met at google um and then uh in 2013 i left google to start shift uh the reason i got into this what were you when you left google

Yeah, but I didn't think anything was going to go down the tubes.

I spent a lot of time thinking about the business, and it wasn't like I was jumping off the cliff without knowing what I was doing.

I put a lot of my money in.

I didn't put all my money in, but I put a lot of my money into the company, yeah.

So the reason was I had a used car that I had leased out.

That was actually my very first car back in 2007.
