And her mother worried that she had denied her grief.
This was the phrase that Julia used, that she denied her grief and suggested that she, Julia, see a grief counselor to get at the bottom of it.
And did she?
She did.
And it was interesting because the counselor asked her a lot of questions about her relationship with her father.
And Julia said something to the effect of, I'm not stupid.
I could see what he was aiming at.
She was not happy about this, but she played along with it for a period.
And then I think what happened was, if I remember correctly, the number of sessions that would be covered
perhaps by insurance, had run out.
And it was sort of a natural ending point.
And her mother agreed.
She said, you know, I don't want to do this anymore.
And her mother agreed that she could stop.
