Um but the finish itself was again using his strength and managing to fashion this kind of off balance um
finish with his left foot into the roof of the net.
It it's it's funny how often in sport it feels like there is kind of the the successions are always quite neat.
It it's happened to a degree with England, you know, where you go from kind of Lineker to Shearer to Owen to Rooney to Kane.
And suddenly we are at this moment now where everyone's been talking about who is the next one.
It's it's too early to to say that he's just gonna be our striker for the next ten years.
But it is amusing how basically the first competitive game
of elite football after the World Cup and suddenly we've got a 17-year-old England eligible striker doing this.
Um and I do think he'll get minutes.
I think it's interesting that you know Tammy Abraham had a summer off and Unay Emery still chook chose to play Majo ahead of him yesterday, which might suggest that he's um second in line to Watkins.
And given Watkins's struggles last season at times, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him, you know
Not to make a pun, but muscle past him as well.
So um yeah, I also really love the idea of an England striker.
having played three times for Luxembourg, it just feels like a a a weird quirk that I I've absolutely to be the case.
Um and and I think
Yeah in twenty forty two or whatever.
Yeah Ali mentioned Matthias Marne there who i is looking more likely to represent Portugal than England.
But fair play to the FA for going out and making sure that um that Majo would be eligible for England and bringing him into the U set up at a time where he was playing non competitive games for Luxembourg, because there is a world out there where he could have played a competitive game for Luxembourg and that would have been it.
Um so yeah, credit to them for for spotting the the opportunity and making sure that that that didn't
