She was very ill for a long time when I was a little kid and then she passed away and I think my grandad couldn't really bear to get rid of him.
And that bird lived for about 20 years.
They lived for ages and we were like well you know from when I was like so my nan must have had him when I was about six or seven and I think it died when I was about 25 so it was like and it was an adult when she got it so I don't know how old it was when she got it.
An adult miner of course.
We wouldn't get a juvenile.
They hop around.
Yeah, and the funny thing was, and this couldn't have been a more my nan thing, is that she'd had like a sequence of minor birds, but she had taken it back.
to the shop because it wasn't working.
It wasn't learning any words.
So she was like, well, I need an exchange here for one that works.
And then she got one that had already had an owner, so already knew phrases, but they were meaningless to us.
