in Scotland and Wales and then began at 9.30 to read it all again with a headline that Northern Ireland have drawn in Rotterdam.

There was never an oh no moment.

Because you've got to remember, I was living in troubled Belfast at the time.

And troops on the street and security zone in the centre of the city.

And open your bag as you're trying to go into a building to have it searched and checked.

So I didn't think there was going to be anything...

anything more than that that i was that i hadn't already seen before and the thing that struck me when we actually uh got our own boots on the ground so to speak in argentina in mendoza and i noticed the police uniform was kind of military fatigues but they didn't look like the british army that was on the streets of belfast in their camouflage gear they were in smart kind of

navy blue, well pressed uniforms, but fatigues, if you know what I mean.

Didn't look like they were paramilitary police at all.

And I never had the impression while I was there, now of course I was only scratching the surface, I had a laminate for the World Cup, I was in carefully controlled areas.

There was never any suggestion in my mind that this was anywhere that wasn't a pleasant place to be.

But of course, obviously, all of that was going on in the background.

So no, the answer to the question is it never really crossed my mind because my own background of where I was coming from.

So this was a walk in the park for you.
