No tension.

But no, it was just domestically with a young daughter and it was easier for her to be at home with her family with the child who was not yet a year old than to be with...

So I arrived back home on the Saturday or whatever, maybe it was even the Sunday, the day of the game.
It would have been the day of the game because I'd done the third and fourth place match the day before.
Anyway, the surreal feeling sitting in front of the television in Wimbledon watching the World Cup final with David Coleman commentating and thinking, I was actually there.
I'd been at the World Cup.
I think then it really, really, really hit me that I'd been part of this World Cup experience.
So how did you navigate that?
Well, my way of doing it, bear in mind, my background is in languages, so I was always keen to get it right.
The German, the French, the Spanish, the Italian,
The Portuguese weren't an issue because I had that.
But there were others that were.
The best thing I found to do was to try and seek out the local commentator.
I learned this from 78 when I was with the Dutch who were in Mendoza and I became friendly with some of the Dutch broadcasters.
still friends with them after all these years, but it was almost put on a plate for me because they were talking the names of these players and it was easy for me to pick up on that.
