There's been some speculation he might come back as Foreign Secretary.

There's obviously a bit of a democratic issue there around having a senior government minister sitting in an unelected house.

David Cameron did it at the tail end of Rishi Sunak's administration as Foreign Secretary from the House of Lords.
But that was only for a six-month period.
I think for doing it for two or three years, it might stretch people's tolerance a little bit, to put it mildly.

I think he said it primarily because he wanted to be reassured that there were some old farts still playing in the parliamentary press gallery football team.
