Well, his mother's name was Catherine McCarty.
She was an Irish immigrant.
And we now know that she emigrated to the United States in 1846.
She came across on an Irish immigrant ship.
Every passenger was an Irish immigrant.
man or woman, they were all emigrating from Ireland to the United States.
She was 17 years old in 1846, making her birth year 1829.
And the reason we know this is Billy the Kid's mother is that when she died in 1874, she was 45 years old.
And we know that to be a fact.
