You're polite.

You go into the room.

You write something not quite right.

You go back, you adapt.

And once you start getting those cuts and hitting those briefs to a point where they're immaculate and you're getting the cuts...

Then this thing happened where once I hit America and I knew how to do everything by the book and I felt like I'd mastered popular writing, it became so easy to pull it all apart and tear it down again and be like, okay, great.

Because it's like anything, right?

You learn to ride a bike and then you can start doing tricks.

And I think like that's,

the thing with art as well and and that's probably why i'm not very good at painting because i've never mastered the by the book thing by the time i got to america i felt like i had all the tools to just throw the rule book out of the window i heard you you were looking up at the hollywood sign and you were like oh my god this is so incredible like i'm this girl i'm actually here

I'm that bitch.

It's amazing.

It's great.

And it felt right for what we knew was coming, you know.

But again, your voice.

Well, I have to credit Dan Sanders for that, who is like my creative director on the project and just my favorite collaborator ever.

She is genius with things like that.

And the idea that we could put that artwork into gay clubs and have people take their own versions of it, like the way that people walk across that crossroad, like the Beatles outside Abbey Road.

Genius.

I was like, put the coasters in the gay bars.
