And I remember talking to him about it.
He's like, if you want to go to Brisbane, like maybe it could work, but I don't know about long distance.
And it was kind of very much like a, right, well, I'm going to stay.
I'm going to figure it out.
But...
It was one of the scariest conversations I had to have with the nine guys because also, I mean, I don't know if you remember, like back when you were just like trying to cut your teeth as a journalist.
Oh, you say yes to everything.
That would have been hard.
It was really hard.

And I think what also helped me in the end was looking at the role that I was doing and the role that I potentially was going to go to and just what it entailed.
I knew at that time I was still pretty green, like I hadn't done too much feature reporting.
hadn't really been on the road that much, hadn't been doing that in-depth level journalism that I was initially had started to become drawn to.
And I knew that if I was then going straight into this full-time presenting gig, which is all that I'd ever wanted, I was kind of going to skip that step.
And I thought, oh, I don't know necessarily.
I've always backed myself, but I knew I would be a better broadcaster if I stayed where I was too.
I got to do every single thing I'd ever wanted to do in terms of a job.
which when I first started, the dream was be a sports journalist.
Then it morphed into being an anchor of a show.
Then it morphed into doing entertainment interviews but doing them my way.
