I'm from Lismore, four-time Commonwealth Games swimming team member.

So, you know, I still feel like I'm surrounded by greatness here.

Goodness, of course I was going to get the most special question with your special pronunciation.

Macadamia farmer is what you were trying to say, Bill.

That's right.

Yes, they're quite amazing in the fact they're a rainforest tree.

They're native to this area.

And so they don't mind having wet feet too badly.

And they are ripe when they fall on the ground.

So when there's enough to justify going to pick them up, you send the machine out and harvest them.

Can you believe I'm 20 years retired?

This is what's amazing about the Commonwealth for me is that I started, my first Australian team was the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

And my final Australian swim team was the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

So kind of bookend my career and it feels quite full circle coming back to a Commonwealth Games.

So I'm pretty excited to head over to Glasgow, I must admit.

Well, the whole idea is to get over jet lag in a pre-camp and to get used to conditions over northern hemisphere because obviously we are a fair way away from Glasgow.

So Germany kind of breaks up the trip, gives them a chance to, as I said, acclimatise and get over jet lag and just

fine-tune those last little bits of preparation.

So our swim team is awesome and the most amazing thing that I love about Commonwealth Games is, I don't know if too many people are aware, but it's the only time that we as the entire Australian Dolphin Swim Team are together because obviously we've got our

para-athletes and our able-bodied athletes all in the program together.
