Snap recipients in several states, from California to Wisconsin, had just begun seeing money loaded up on their EBT cards to buy food.

Those states acted once a federal judge this week ordered the Trump administration to restore Snap funds by Friday.

The same day it said it would comply, the Trump administration appealed the ruling all the way up to the Supreme Court.

which kicked the case back to an appeals court.

In the meantime, many states still haven't distributed November SNAP benefits, and it's unclear whether states that have will be reimbursed.
