Hello hello, it's Gill here, I am dropping into your feed while Shameless Podcast is on our media break to bring you a little compilation series from the archives.
Working on Monday episodes is probably my favourite part of this very, very enjoyable job, so that's really saying something.
I collated a bunch of really interesting conversations for this series and I kind of arranged them by theme.
It was actually a pretty interesting exercise because it was fascinating to see the patterns that emerged in our Monday conversations and how conversations evolved over time where the girls might, you know, approach an idea differently now to how they approached it two years ago.
So the first episode that I pulled together for this series is all about health and wellness and its, I don't know, adjacents to grift and just general chaos.
The first snippet that I'm going to play for you is an excerpt from our episode about Brian Johnson.
Now don't worry, I am going to link all of these episodes in the show notes for you so you can listen to the full conversations.
But for now, the context that you need for this snippet is basically you need to understand who Brian Johnson is.
So Brian Johnson is a very, very, very wealthy man.
I'm just Googling here to see if he is a billionaire.
If he's not a billionaire, he's definitely close or much closer than you or I are.
Ah, okay.
So Google says that he's probably worth around $300 million to $400 million.
So, you know, he's very wealthy and he got wealthy because he founded Venmo, the cash transfer app that's very popular in the US.
And while you may not recognize the name Brian Johnson, you have probably seen this guy around.
He is the wealthy guy who is obsessed with
not dying.
His little tagline for himself and his business is don't die and this quest towards cheating death I suppose has led Brian Johnson down some pretty strange rabbit holes.
If you've seen his documentary on Netflix you'll know that he
Went through a process of getting his son's blood transfused into his own body.
