Um so you've got all these currents, you know, swirling together and you've got President Trump having attacked the Federal Reserve um for its monetary policy and putting monetary politics on the front page of newspapers again.
So
What lessons do you think we can learn from all this about where we are today?
Um, not just in America, but across the modern world?
Absolutely.
Well I hope that President Trump is listening.
I hope that um the new Fed Chair Kevin Walsh is also listening to that.
And I'd take away two extra lessons.
One is that politicians tend not to do the right thing until there's a crisis.
Um, let's hope we avoid one now.
And the fourth thing I take away, which is perhaps the the center of the Story of Money podcast, is that history matters.
We have to look back at the past sometimes to make sense of the present and see where the future might be going as well.
