I mean, actually, I think we would all be better off when you have to work.

We're forced to work with people in one room from every part of the state of every mindset.

It helps to create an understanding of relationships.

And so it's been an area of growth for me just to get to know Republicans and work with them.

Yeah.

Well, here's the problem, though.

The problem is that now those.

Maybe I guess you would think of as more.

Country Club or chamber type.

But here's the problem.

The problem is that they're not free to vote their districts anymore, much less their conscience.

What happened in the voucher fight exemplifies it better than any other fight.

We beat vouchers in 2023 because we had rural Republicans with us and we had some Bush-era Republicans with us.

Greg Abbott put in a million dollars against each of them in their primaries and most of them won.

He took out nine.

And since then, they've been very reluctant to not tow the party line.

The party line at this point is Trump's line because Abbott is the enforcer for Trump.

So, I mean, on the day of the vote for vouchers last year, Trump called in and talked to all the Republican legislators.

And he said, I'll come down there if I have to.

Right.
