We all respond to incentives.
You're a CEO.
You fire people today.
Your stock price goes up tomorrow.
It's an incentive.
You hire a human being, you pay for that human being, payroll taxes, healthcare benefits, et cetera, you use an agent, free.
That is not the right set of incentives.
So at some point, maybe we have to tax AI usage by companies.
We need a different set of incentives.
When I was governor in Rhode Island, I put in a new tax on software as a service.
Now, there's a lot of reasons you might not like that.
