I'm good, thank you.
I'm very, very good.
It's nice to be back and playing some shows.
It's nice, nostalgia for the dirt.
Well, certainly, yeah, certainly the backstage situations have...
I've slightly, it's a bit of a wake-up call again, but it's great, you know, it's a wonderful thing to, and what I love about playing gigs in Ireland is you just get in your car and you drive down, and that couple of hours on your own in the car on the way to a gig is magic, you know, because, you know, we're used to now travelling in a bus or in a van altogether, but the concentration of just going to a room and thinking about what you're doing, and what we're doing really here is trying to draw attention to the fact that the small rooms are,
are really struggling to stay open.
The business model in the world, not just in Ireland, but the business model is pushing more towards the smaller rooms being unable and being untenable.
Yeah.
Well, it's not even Harry Styles.
It's more the people behind Harry or the ticketing companies.
And, you know, this isn't about sort of saying that the system is wrong.
I mean, in a lot of ways, I think it has kind of...
you know, the money seems to be floating towards individuals now rather than the groups, you know.
And in a world that's growing, in a world that's getting more and more, for the want of a better word, kind of corporate and more directed towards the money filtering up to a few people, the DIY, the kind of the punk aspect or the punk energy that I would have been aware of in the 80s and the 90s is now coming back in a big way in that
the smaller rooms are now being supported by bands.
And also bands are skipping venues altogether now and going and playing in houses.
And so we're trying to draw attention to the fact that maybe the government could give the small venues, because these are the grassroots venues that all of the bands in Ireland, I mean, music is one of our great exports.
