There's the baker, there's the judge, there's the police officer, there's the bank robber.

I mean, everyone's part of the community.

And there's the singer and then there's the barman and there's the barber.

And we all live in this village and everybody has an equal...

part to play.

And, you know, the singer is no good without the barber.

The barber is no good without the doctor.

We all basically feed each other.

So I think this idea of sort of seeing yourself in some kind of hierarchical way is a dangerous thing.

I mean, it's not that it's wrong or it's just it's dangerous for your own head.

It's dangerous for where your head is.

Like, how old were you when you left school?

I left school at 13 and I was busking kind of 13 and a half and 14.

So, I mean, I got all my education on the street, basically.

Yeah.

I mean, I remember studying Seamus Heaney, for instance, in school.

And I was very fortunate in that

there was a guitar left in my house and my uncle's guitar was left in my house and I learned how to play it.

And that saved me.

Like I was on a kind of a trajectory, the kind that they sort of, you know, getting into the drugs, only gently, getting heavy into drinking, very young,
