Very entertaining race, turned slightly upside down by a dominant pole sitter being taken out at the start in Jacques Villeneuve.
Ben, cast the first vote for us here.
Damon Hill didn't perform in the Grand Prix because he broke down before the start.
No, he didn't.
1.7 seconds over Frentzen, 2.1 over the rest of the field for those who can't remember how good Villeneuve was in qualifying.
Yeah, I could do if I had one.
Yeah, it's tempting.
For all the reasons Matt just said, I think Australia 97 is great.
And I did love seeing McLaren win again.
And, you know, DC, you know, had to drive really well in that race.
And it's stuff going on all the way through.
It's quite a busy race, even though it doesn't have kind of the action as Matt described.
But, you know, it's a mid-90s refueling year of a race.
A track where overtaking was difficult.
So I don't really hold it.
hold that against it but also the reason I am considering it is that I agree with the premise I think Ben said that I think Donington 93 is massively overrated as a race yes Senna is amazing yes his first lap is brilliant but other than that it's just him driving around everyone else looking amateur everyone else in the pits yeah I don't hold that against Ayrton Senna what he did was superb although even he would downplay this race slightly because he had driver aids but
But yeah, you watch your back.
There's nothing else going on.
It's just, oh, there's a Williams in the pit lane again.
Which one is it?
