You know, I don't even want to talk about, as you say, I'm reluctant to broach this subject, but the constitutional provision is there to protect us against the tyrannical government.
And Don, we have a tyrannical government now.

So the video is alarming.
But as a former career prosecutor, I want all the evidence before I'm going to take a hard and fast position that a crime was committed.
And based on the versions of the video that I've seen, we don't see how things started.
But
From the moment the camera is rolling, it doesn't appear that the senator is doing anything aggressive, doing anything threatening, doing anything inappropriate.
He's announcing his name and his position several times over.
So when Kristi Noem says he didn't announce who he is, that that's just a lie, an outright lie that is contradicted by the video.
evidence, what I would want to do is interview everybody in that room.
If I were a prosecutor in California, I would be cutting grand jury subpoenas all day long to make sure I brought everyone into the grand jury who had any relevant evidence and information about what went on, particularly prior to the cameras rolling.
But not even that.
You need to know what each person said, what they said before
during and after.
Because when people talk afterwards, people who had a firsthand, you know, front row seat to what went on and they talk about it, that becomes admissible evidence too.
So what you need to do is investigate the entire thing and then make a decision whether a crime was committed.
And if so, if a charge should be brought, if an indictment should be pursued.
It looked like excessive force based solely on what I saw on that
video um there was no need to put him on the ground there was no need to handcuff him he had announced
