We would never want that.

And granted, that shouldn't necessarily be your only reason or rationale.

But there are people that are thinking like that.

And with this administration, they are not worried about consequences.

They are not worried about clapback.

They are not worried about

anyone responding in kind in the way that they do.

And maybe it's because people know that like by the nature of being a Democrat, that you are someone who has a heart and that you are not necessarily just out to do evil.

Like we, you know, as we're in this healthcare fight right now, I appreciate the fact that it has been made very clear that,

that the vast majority of the people that will be most detrimentally impacted by this fight over the Affordable Care Act, or even as it relates to the big ugly bill, they are not people that are voting for us, right?

You know, what's so interesting as I listen to you explain that, what I have found, right, when we look at the demographics that are voting for the Democrats, we don't tend to get those voters that are maybe have a little bit less formal education, right?

We tend to get the people that will read and get down into the minutia and do the thousand page bills with us and all those things.

But what we are missing isn't really where we stand on policy.

And I'm going to be honest and tell you that a lot of people call Democrats elitist and things like that for us saying things like you voted against your interests.

because it makes people feel small like and so for them it's almost like a pride thing right like oh I will show you I'll show you right but in the end like you didn't I mean you may have hurt us but like you hurt yourself while you were doing it right so I think that it is about um some of the ways that we just kind of present and just being very plain language um

But every time they have a Hill Day, they bring them to come and talk to me.

Now, I know that these people probably would never vote for me, but they love to talk to me because when I break it down, I'm just honest.

I'm just giving them the facts.

We have been saying that forever and we can't wait until election time.

We have to be in consistent communication.
