Particularly playing a pretty impressive looking Argentina on Thursday.
It was interesting listening to the commentator talking about it and saying that a lot of those under-20s are getting exposure at senior level.
Because of the, you know, and that's the, that is a difference, isn't it?
When you play at that level, even if you only get six months of it, that you play at a higher level, you understand the gap, the need, where you have to want to go to and being able to carry that into your 20s.
It's a valuable IP to be able to bring into a tournament like this, where you can kind of go, okay, well, we can be a little bit tougher, a little bit harder than guys who are still playing eighth grade rugby.
That was the standout thing to me from the Irish was just really poor defence.
Some really bad decisions at home.
points where, you know, if you added a bit of music, you might get a few decent memes out of it.
But yeah, so just some big errors in defence and they never really recovered from it.
And then like the English, so the strength up front from the English pack when they got to the corners was palpable.
They were...
very, very good.
And the big stat that stood out for me, and I'm not a big stat person, but it was quite obvious, was the English points per 22 visits versus the Irish one was, I think it was 3.9 to 1 point something.
So Ireland had lots of possession, lots of territory and couldn't convert.
Yeah, like some of the general endeavour was pretty good.
Like I said, the opening try, I thought it was actually, English Defence had done exactly what they wanted to do was that they'd kind of come up from the outside in and they'd closed off all the passing options.
So the 10 actually had to, even though he got the ball with one of the pivot plays, so he was in behind his own players,
He almost kind of, like you see with the French nines, they almost side-footed.
So he actually had to duck back under and then not kick it into his own teammates and kind of cross-footed sideways, kick it over to the space.
It was a really well-executed kick.
