You're competing with an awful lot of other people.

And you can't force excitement onto people around this because it's just not there.

It's not a criticism.

You know, Leinster is still...

desperate to win this from an organisation.

They want to win trophies.

They said for most people, it's not the one they want.

And for most people, they would quite happily be in Bordeaux shoes and they would be celebrating a Heineken Cup and knocked out of the URC in a heartbeat.

I played 11 years of my career before we won a trophy.

I got within an arse's roar of a trophy.

You look at, say, most of the Munster cohort have played their whole career

with one this is kind of a generation post you know the early noughties they played most of their career with one trophy so i think sometimes you have to separate yourself from the you know the supporting base and just go well actually just to be selfish and just go hopefully people will show up first and but ultimately they want to they want to win it you want that as a player you want that validation you want that success

possible so the Bulls if you had to pick who you'd prefer to be playing it is them they'll take an awful lot from that game against the Stormers the bits that Leinster struggled in they were very proficient in really good set piece really good defence that can go a long way

You look at experience, you look at players like Keane Healy when they've come through, you look at players like Andrew Porter when they've come through.

And when they come through, they are at a standard when they get there.

And it's probably a touch harsh, but you're looking at this is another piece from the schoolboy system where we don't have competitive scrums.

This is why it is probably a touch art.

You are looking at players that come through the, in the academy, they're actually kind of learning how to scrum in their first three or four years of professional rugby.

I think that's been shown to see not a great format for us.

He would be an example of somebody who's had to learn to scrum in the academy rather than having coming through in the school system.
