My life is still worth living when I'm not.
So it's a lie.
So many of our timelines are these arbitrary, imaginary kind of ideas that we have in our heads, when in reality...
So much can happen for you in a few short years as long as you are aligned with the type of life that you want to be living or you're actually working towards the things that you say you want to work towards or whatever it might be.
This paralysis of the approach of 30 or whatever milestone it might be that you feel terrified about actually just holds you back so much from doing the things that you should be doing and should be enjoying.
And I just think that...
the more we can move away from these arbitrary timelines.
I feel like we're making it so much harder for ourselves.
And we've inherited these timelines.
We haven't given them to ourselves.
We haven't decided that's right for our life.
We have inherited them.
And just because you have in your head, oh, I don't want to be single at 30.
Okay, so what you...
stick in a relationship that isn't good for you for 27, 28, 30, you get to 31, 32.
You've stuck with this person for five years purely because you didn't want to be single at 30.
And then if that was your biggest problem and now you're single at 32 or 35 or whatever, not saying that's a big problem.
But if that was your biggest fear and like you can't edge something over the line when it's not right.
And I think that that time spent like truly doubling down on like what's going to make your life a good life, like what's going to make it in line with the type of life you want to live, I think is so much better a way of spending our time.
what i will be in five years time because even when i think to the person i was five years ago or like in the bc times of before covid i've changed so much yeah no absolutely and i think you have to allow that evolution to happen as well because like this rigidity around what you expect of your life and your timeline and all of that it actually entirely prevents the ability to even adapt to new things that you might like and like to new lives that you might want to live and
