Because he went on the podcast and has appeared with Hassan Piker, who's a left-wing, quite ext sort of red meat sort of pod podcaster, who said at one point that America deserved 9-11.
And that's been not just associated with Al Sayyid, but attributed to him falsely.
On the other side, you see when Donald Trump meets with podcasters like Nick Fuentes, who's a Holocaust denier and an anti-Semite and a white nationalist.
All of that is rubbing off and is becoming the main topic of discussion rather than policy.
Yeah, well, this is, and not for the first time, is one of the reason times I'm grateful to be in Ireland.
Um I'm really struck by how adult our politics is compared to, say, the United States, but also how this celebritification hasn't gotten so bad.
But our politicians have started appearing on podcasts.
Simon Harris appeared on The Two Johnnies, um Mia Martin appeared on uh Murray Ronan and Jenny Kelly's podcast.
Both of those.
Those podcasts have different demographics you could see a politician wanting to appeal to.
And actually, they did very well.
Because again, podcasts are not usually about policy details.
I mean, Joe Rogan doesn't care about reality, let alone policy details.
It's really about you and your personality, which is something you you wouldn't expect Irish politicians to necessarily be comfortable with.
Anthony Albanese obviously screwed that.
That part up.
But I think because uh as Simon Harris mentioned on the Two Johnnies podcast, the vast majority of the Irish public are decent and they'll treat people
decently and the two Johnnies treated Simon Harris decently.
Meredith and Jenny treated Mihal Martin decently and and so they they actually it actually worked very well.
