Yeah, I think Liverpool came out and tried to press them high and get, obviously, the Anfield factor involved in it.
I think they did that.
But then once the game settled down around the 20-minute mark, City brought the control.
They were excellent.

Marmouch looked a threat.
And Liverpool probably couldn't get any rhythm.
And what impressed me really well with City was they actually pressed Liverpool well as well.
stopped them having any build-up play, stopped them having any sort of periods of possession where they took any control away from Liverpool to try and get the foot on the ball and build something.
Every time City gave the ball away, their reaction to win it back was really high.
And Liverpool just couldn't secure that forced pass, whether it was Graeme Bursch or McAllister, just couldn't secure that forced pass that allowed them to play.
And because of that, then Virts became nearly obsolete in the game and they couldn't get him in it.
And when he doesn't get on the ball, Ekotike gets starved a little bit as well because he's the main provider for Ekotike.
He had one in the first half where Virts drifts out to the left-hand side, ball gets played out to him at first time, he just wraps it around the corner and Ekotike has a 1v1.
But it's fair to say that
possession-wise and control-wise, City had the majority of it in the first half.
Yeah, I'd agree with that as well.
I thought it was a mixture of City starting to play where we have to go and get something out of this game to stay in the title race, and a mixture of Liverpool losing that bit of composure that they had gained in the second half with that, grabbing Bursch, McAllister getting on the ball, moving on out to Kyrkos and so on, because that was their out passes.
